Read on to find out more about the features and benefits of our most popular types of valves.

API Pneumatic UK offers a wide range of industrial and process valves for all manner of pneumatic applications. From ball valves to solenoids, we’re sure to have a high-performance valve solution for your needs. For hygienic or potentially hazardous applications, we are also one of the few valve suppliers in the UK that manufactures our own line of durable, sanitary and corrosion-resistant AISI 316 stainless steel valves.

Now, let’s take a close look at some of the most popular types of valves available at API Pneumatic UK.

SOLENOID VALVES

Solenoid valves are electromechanical valves that are used to control the flow of liquids or gases. Solenoid valves come in two main varieties: pilot operated and direct-acting. Pilot operated valves employ system line pressure to open or close the valve’s main orifice. As the name suggests, direct-acting solenoid valves directly open or close the valve orifice. API Pneumatic UK offers both, including robust stainless steel models.

At API Pneumatic UK, we provide high-quality solenoid valves on a next-day-delivery basis. We specialise in electric solenoid valves and electrically operated solenoid spool valves that deliver impressive performance and dependable durability – all at affordable prices. Our comprehensive range of solenoid valves includes direct, indirect, ISO compliant and stainless steel valves to suit a wide range of pneumatic applications.

BALL VALVES

Ball valves are a type of shut-off valve that regulates the flow of a fluid using a hollow rotating ball as a bore. When the ball rotates 90 degrees around its axis (a quarter-turn), the fluid will either flow through the valve or find its flow path blocked. Ball valves are typically paired with a pneumatic actuator to automate their operation and are ideally suited to heat exchanger applications and many other manufacturing environments.

API Pneumatic UK has an extensive selection of pneumatic ball valves available. Not only do we offer ball valves manufactured from aluminium (hardened and anodised) and brass, but we also offer stainless steel options. Selected ball valves are also available in single and double-acting versions. Plus, we also offer robust single and double-acting rotary actuators with a double rack for the automation of ball and butterfly valves.

ISO CONTROL VALVES

Control valves convert signals from a controller to vary the size of the flow passage. This enables operators to control the flow rate and other subsequent processes, including pressure and temperature. ISO control valves are built to conform to certain standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Ours are manufactured to ISO 5599/1, which means they can be interchanged with a control valve that meets that specification.

API Pneumatic UK stocks an impressive selection of pneumatic control valves. As well as ATEX certified ISO 5599/1 control valves, we also offer two different sizes of ISO control valves (ISO 1 and ISO 2) to suit your needs. Electrically operated ISO valves with either an inline electro pilot or a CNOMO electric pilot are available. We can also supply a wide range of manual and mechanical pneumatic valves.
